I’m back! Where have I been? Well, the first week of my absence was spent on a mission trip! The second week, I just slacked off. Getting back into a schedule is hard!! My excuse for missing Monday, was my new little kitten I am raising by hand. Pitiful excuse, I know! But, that’s behind us. I’m back, and with me I bring to you this post! So, let’s get to it!
I actually didn’t know this until I was doing some research for another article. But, apparently stress can cause break outs! That explains a lot, lol! I have been rather blessed with clear skin so far. I do of course get the occasional pimple that last for decades, and is the size of an elephant pregnant with quadruplets, but at least I don’t get a whole heard of them on my face! We’ll see how long my luck lasts though, seeing how unpredictable skin and hormones can be.
So, what is it about stress that causes break outs?
Increases in the stress hormone cortisol, can cause excess oil production, which in turn leads to break outs.
Wonderful, right? And this is just one thing that stress does to your body!
The obvious solution is to keep your stress levels low. Not as easy as it sounds!
It’s impossible to remove all stress from your life, or even keep it at a low level for ever. But there are some things you can do, or should continue doing on a daily basis, if possible to help.
Now, be careful what you mediate about! As a Christain, meditating for me would be focusing on God, and what he has done, etc. Not going to lie, that doesn’t always happen. Really, meditating for me is really hard. I can’t stay focused!!
This kinda goes hand in hand with meditating. There are so many yoga moves focusing on de-stressing! And for all levels!
Hot bath or shower
Helps calm you and cleans your face to help even more with your break outs! You can relax all you want, but it’s still important to clean your face if you want clear skin!
What makes you relax?
Please comment your answer below! I could keep adding things that I know are supposed to relieve stress, or work for me, but I want to know yours! I love hearing from you!
Also, here is a link to another post I did about dealing with stress!
Have an amazing day!
( I know this is short! Sorry! But, I really need to go and try to get some stuff done!)
