Do you ever struggle with motivation? Do you have tons ideas, or lots of things you nee to do, but you never seem to find the motivation to do them?
I know I do.
Like, I had a whole list of stuff I needed to get done last week, that I now need to do this week, because I didn’t do them when I should have.
And it wasn’t from lack of time.
Yeah, I had other stuff going on, and I wasn’t home everyday, but if I had really wanted to, I could have gotten my list done. You know, instead of watching TV, painting, going to see End Game, or reading a great book.
So why didn’t I?
Because my brain was focused on other things…. sounds lame. But really. All I could think about was this painting I’ve been wanting to do, and this fence I want to build, and new rabbit cages I need to get. ( I haven’t been able to do the last two because of weather, and not being home long enough on nice days.)
The logical thing to do, would be to do the other things on my list, that I could easily do. But I had no motivation to do them.
Does anyone else have this struggle? Please comment below if you do!
And, not getting my stuff done, doesn’t feel good at all. I feel guilty for not being my best, and getting my jobs done. I feel lazy, and quiet frankly, a failure. Anyone else?
So, this week I am going to attempt to break out of this funk, because I REALLY have to get this stuff done. This. Week.
And, it’s raining out. So, there go my two big projects down the drain.
Here are somethings that I am going to try today, and this week to get some energy and motivation!
The Two Minute Rule
Getting started is usually the hardest part. So, set a timer (optional) and work on a task for two minutes….and then keep working on it!
I don’t know about you, but I never feel motivated when I’m just sitting on my butt all day.
Turn on the music that makes you feel alive, and get to work!
Now, If you’ll excuse me, I have work to do. Have an amazing day!
