You might think I’m crazy, but I love my veggies! (Not lima beans though. *eww*)
Everybody knows that vegetables are good for you. That’s why we have to eat them! Which I am sure can be a chore for those that don’t like their veggies. I know it’s quite the chore when I have to eat lima beans!
But knowing how they are healthy for you, can make eating them easier, and add even more joy for those that find pleasure in eating them! It helped me a little bit during those dark times of lima bean eating…
So, here are 5 of my favorites! Comment below, what your favorite is!
Kale~ Has vitamins B1, B2, B3, and C, dietary fiber, and more! This is a pretty tasty and healthy plant!
Lettuce~ (refrains from making a pun) This common green is an excellent source of vitamin A! Below I will have a list of benefits, that these vitamins offer.
Brussels Sprouts~ Excellent source of vitamin C, iron, dietary fiber, and potassium! I know that most people don’t like brussels sprouts, but the way my mom makes them…. you’d have to eat hers to know why I put them on my favorites list.
Beans~ Another great source of vitamin A and C , plus dietary fiber!
Ok, I’m not sure if “greens” go for any green veggie, or if it only goes for “leafy greens”….. so….I just decided to do any green vegetable…. if anyone was wondering…. On to the last one!
Asparagus~ Has vitamin C and E, iron, and yup. Dietary fiber. This is my favorite vegetable!!! I love it!
Benefits of vitamin C~ Boosts immunity, powerful antioxidant, lowers lead levels in your blood, helps weight loss, reduces stress (Need I list more?) helps prevent cancer, cataracts and increases energy!
Benefits of vitamin Bs~ If you are getting enough of them, you would see healthy hair, skin, nails, and have a healthier heart! Also helps you have a healthy immune system and improves mental health!!
Benefits of vitamin A~ Helps with improving vision, immune system, flu, fight infections, and colds!
