How are you? Real honest answers!
If you are doing amazing, then yay! *high five*
If not, why? Bad day? Or a bad five minutes? Perhaps even just one bad thought?
If you are like me, your mood can go sour and the light can go out of your day with just one bad, ugly, scary thought.
That is all it takes.
So! What should we do? Capture them! Defeat them! Lock the little boogers up!
But, as I’m sure you know, it is a hard thing to do. How can you just capture them, when they just pop up without much cause?
You can’t really stop them.
But. You have complete control over what you do with that bad thought, as soon as it makes it’s unwanted appearance.
Do you follow it? Let it lead you down the corridors of anxiety, stress, fears, and depression? Do you?
OR, do you say, “Halt!”, grab it, and lock it out of your mind before it can snare you?
Because that choice is all yours. Yes, the thought might have been about someone who you have problems with. It might have been about some up coming event.
But it is your choice. You have the strength, the power, to decide if you are going to and grow that thought.
Romans 7:23- “But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.”
That verse is proof that those thoughts will take YOU captive and lead you wrong, unless you stop them, take them prisoner and lock them out.
It is so tempting to just sit and brood over something that just started out as a little tiny bad thought!
Instead capture it! Think positive and have an amazing day!
